Balloon I love hot air balloons. I have had this gorgeous balloon bead by Mooginmindy for quite a while.... I had to have it, but I must admit that when I got my hands on it, I was somewhat perplexed with what to do with it besides caress it lovingly!  Decided to make a little basket effect with wire, and work with the punches of colour with Kazuri beads and more muted amazonite.  I have another balloon bead in a lime base shade so will see what comes of that one. If you fancy some of Mindy's beads you need to be quick as they sell fast!

Hi there, I know its been a while, hope you have all been well. A package arrived this week in the mail of Etsy buys from Cinnamon Jewellery -  lovely enamel drops that have kept me busy today. It's a glorious long weekend here - Queens Birthday celebration - a good reason not to become a republic, perhaps? Mint Julep Lots of beading time and bending wire to make ear hooks, which has been a real pleasure after 2 bouts of nasty cold  /flu business in 4 weeks.  Some pieces have been added to the shop, and the others will be listed over the next week or so.   Luna Earrings Baby elephants Luna Turquoise   I have also made myself a new basic short necklace- sits just below the neck above a scoop neck line - I wear heaps of black for work ( I know, architects and designers, we are are such cliches!). It's made of onyx and wood. If you would like to buy one let me know via comments and I can make another. Also made myself a wood and terracotta piece - will have to give this one a trial run and I'm not sure if it is a success - chain may be a bit chunky and wont sit flat.. test drive on today...

Secret Garden Bracelet fern earrings Freckles pink earrings As winter soon draws to a close in the Northern hemisphere, summer in Australia ends February 29. It's been a very wet summer in Sydney - more humid rainy /overcast days than sun. We Sydneysiders hate wet weather - there's been lots of grumbling. So I made some pieces that reflect nature -  the carpet of green and the flowers that describes Sydney after all this rain, and as a preview for the long anticipated spring for our northern friends.
